Marilyn Hacker

Marilyn Hacker is the author of fourteen books of poems, most recently Blazons (Carcanet Press, 2019) and A Stranger’s Mirror (W. W. Norton, 2015). The Olive Trees’ Jazz, translations of poems by the Algerian poet Samira Negrouche, will be published by Pleiades Press in February. Her translations from Arabic include work by Fadwa Suleiman, Zakaria Tamer, and Golan Haji. Her Selected Poems was published in 1996 by W. W. Norton. She lives in Paris and sometimes in Beirut.
