Yvan Goll
Yvan Goll (1891–1950) was a French and German poet associated with the Surrealist and Expressionist movements. A collection of love poems between Goll and his wife, Claire, was translated into English by Thomas Rain Crowe and Nan Watkins and published by White Pine Press as 10,000 Dawns: The Love Poems of Claire and Yvan Goll in 2004.
Joel Spector
Joel Spector has translated the work of Peter Huchel, Yvan Goll, and other modern German poets, for over twenty years. He is currently finishing a selection of Huchel’s later poetry and is at work on a translation of the poems of Johannes Bobrowski’s Wetterzeichen. He is a rare book and paper conservator living in Portland, Maine. (Updated 04/2005)
