Li Xiao
Li Xiao graduated from the Chinese department of the Prestigious Fudan University of Shanghai and started publishing in the 1980s. He first caught public attention with a satiric short story “Practice Makes Perfect.” He works as an editor and writes in his spare time.
Zhu Hong
Zhu Hong is a Visting Professor at Boston University. Her translations of Chinese literature into English include The Chinese Westerns: Short Fiction of Today’s China (Ballantine, 1986/1988, reissued in the U.K.), The Serenity of Whiteness: Stories by and about Women (Ballantine, 1991), The Stubborn Porridge and Other Stories by Wang Meng (Braziller, 1994), and short story translations published in The Paris Review, The Chicago Review, AGNI, and elsewhere.
