David Mura is the author of The Stories Whiteness Tells Itself: Racial Myths & Our American Narratives (Univ. of Minnesota Press, 2023) and A Stranger’s Journey: Race, Identity & Narrative Craft in Writing (Univ. of Georgia Press, 2018). His next book is a memoir of his career as an Asian American artist and activist, Exit, Miss Saigon (Univ. of Minnesota Press, 2026).
