Søren Ulrik Thomsen
Søren Ulrik Thomsen’s seven poetry collections and three volumes of essays, written over a thirty-year period, have secured his place as one of Denmark’s strongest living writers. His most recent book of poems, Shaken Mirror (Rystet Spejl), was published to critical acclaim in 2011. Thomsen has won numerous literary awards and was inducted into the Danish Literary Academy in 1995. (updated 4/2013)
Susanna Nied
Susanna Nied won the 2007 Landon Translation award of the Academy of American Poets and was a finalist for the 2005 PEN Award for Poetry in Translation. Her previous translations, four volumes by Danish poet Inger Christensen, were published by New Directions. (updated 4/2013)
