Hester Kaplan is the author of a collection of stories, The Edge of Marriage (University of Georgia Press, 2010), and a novel, Kinship Theory (Back Bay Books, 2002). Among her numerous awards and achievements are a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship for 2007–08, the Flannery O’Connor Award for Short Fiction, and a Rhode Island State Council on the Arts Fellowship. She currently teaches fiction courses at Wesley University in Massachusetts. (updated 7/2010)
