Vision

Delmira Agustini (1886–1914) was a Uruguayan modernist poet. She was murdered at a young age by her jealous husband, before completing what she considered her mature work, yet remains one of the most significant figures in twentieth-century Latin American poetry.

Pamela Uschuk is the author of three collections of poetry, most recently Crazy Love (Wings Press, 2009). Her poetry—translated into almost a dozen languages—has appeared in Poetry, Ploughshares, Calyx, and elsewhere. (updated 6/2010)
