Monet’s Garden

Jim Whiteside is the author of the chapbook Writing Your Name on the
Glass (Bull City Press, 2019). His recent poems have appeared in The
New York Times, The Atlantic, Poetry, The Southern Review, and Best
New Poets. A former Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford University,
he is visiting assistant professor of English and creative writing at
