Suzanne Keen received her MA in Creative Writing from Brown University and her PhD from Harvard University. Among her many publications, most recent is a work of literary theory, Empathy and the Novel, published by the Oxford University Press in the spring of 2010. She is currently the Thomas H. Broadus Professor of English and the English Department Chair at Washington and Lee in Virginia. (updated 7/2010)
