Jill Gonet grew up near New Bedford, Massachusetts. Of her poem in issue 37 she writes, “Periodically we reinvent ourselves or perhaps only our mythologies about ourselves. This poem is a record of a life breaking open in order to reinvent itself.” Despite upheavals, she has made Seattle her home for the past eight years.
