Edwin Honig (1919–2011) was a poet and translator. He published ten volumes of his own poetry, three plays, five books of criticism, and translated from Spanish and Portuguese, including such writers as Miguel de Cervantes, Federico Garcia Lorca, Fernando Pessoa, and Pedro Calderón de la Barca. He died of complications from Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 91.
