Elizabeth Evans’s six books include the novels As Good as Dead (Bloomsbury, 2015), The Blue Hour (Algonquin Books, 1995), and Carter Clay (Harper Perennial, 2000) and the story collection Suicide’s Girlfriend (Harper, 2002). The recipient of two National Endowment for the Arts fellowships, The Iowa Author Award, and a Lila Wallace Foundation Fellowship, Evans is professor emeritus in the University of Arizona’s Program in Creative Writing.
