Khalida Hussain (1937–2019) was a short-story writer and novelist from Pakistan. Recipient of the Pride of Performance for Urdu Literature, she published such books as the novel Kaghazi Ghat and the short story collections Pehchaan, Darwaza, Masroof Aurat, and Mein Yahan Hun. (updated 4/2026)

Farah Ali is the author of two novels, Telegraphy (CB editions, 2026) and The River, The Town (Dzanc Books, 2023), and the story collection People Want to Live (McSweeney’s Books, 2021). Her work has been anthologized in The Pushcart Prize and Best Small Fictions, and has appeared in Shenandoah, AGNI, Kenyon Review, Ecotone, Virginia Quarterly Review, and elsewhere.
