Courtney Sender’s fiction has appeared in Kenyon Review, Glimmer Train, AGNIAmerican Short Fiction, Tin House, Prairie Schooner, and elsewhere. Her essays have appeared in the “Modern Love” column of the The New York Times and also in The Atlantic and The Los Angeles Review of Books. She won the 2019 Graywolf Press first-chapter contest for an excerpt from her novel manuscript. A Yaddo and MacDowell Colony fellow, she holds an MFA from the Johns Hopkins Writing Seminars and an MTS from Harvard Divinity School. She was coeditor of the AGNI blog from 2019 to 2020.
