James Hoch is the author of three poetry collections: Last Pawn Shop in New Jersey (Louisiana State University Press, forthcoming 2022), Miscreants (W. W. Norton, 2008), and A Parade of Hands (Silverfish Review Press, 2003). His work has appeared in Poetry, The New Republic, American Poetry Review, AGNI, Virginia Quarterly Review, The Best American Poetry 2019, and elsewhere. Among his other honors are fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, St. Albans School for Boys, and The Frost Place. He is professor of creative writing at Ramapo College of New Jersey and guest faculty at Sarah Lawrence College. (updated 4/2021)
