Geology, Summer 1983
Miriam Levinson is a Bostonian who grew up in Livingston Manor, New York (population 1,500), graduated from Yale, and now works in the marketing department at Beacon Press. She hopes the influence of W. C. Williams, Sharon Olds, Li-Young Lee, Rita Dove, William Carpenter, good haiku, and photographers Garry Winogrand, Robert Frank, and Helen Levitt occasionally peeks out between the lines of her work.
