David M. de León, a Puerto Rican writer and academic from New Jersey, is the author of the debut poetry collection The Cats of Old San Juan (PANK Books, forthcoming 2022). His poems and short fiction have appeared or are forthcoming in DIAGRAM, Fence, PANK, AGNIUp the Staircase, and elsewhere. He is a PhD candidate in English at Yale University. (updated 4/2021)
