Julia Wong Kcomt, a Peruvian writer and one of the foremost voices in tusán (Chinese Peruvian) literature, is the author of sixteen volumes of poetry, including Oro muerto and 18 poemas de fake love para Keanu Reeves; five books of fiction; and two collections of hybrid prose. Born into a tusán family in Chepén, Peru, she lives between Lima and Lisbon. (updated 10/2021)

Jennifer Shyue is a translator focused on contemporary Cuban and Asian-Peruvian writers. Her work has been supported by fellowships from Cornell University’s Institute for Comparative Modernities and the Fulbright Program, and has appeared in New England Review, AGNI, Words Without Borders, the Action Books blog, and elsewhere.
