David Hayden is the author of Darker with the Lights On (Transit Books, 2018), which was chosen as an Irish Times Book of the Year. His writing has appeared in A Public Space, The Stinging Fly, Zoetrope All-Story, Granta, AGNI, The White Review, The Dublin Review, and elsewhere, as well as on BBC and RTÉ radio.
