The Soul Is Not a Smithy
David Foster Wallace (1962–2008) was an author of novels, essays, and short stories. He is most widely acclaimed for his novel Infinite Jest (Little, Brown, 1996), which made the Time list of 100 Greatest Novels. He was also the author of several other novels, short story collections, and nonfiction books. He died at home in Claremont, California, at the age of 46.
