Maithreyi Karnoor is the author of the novel Sylvia: Distant Avuncular Ends (Tranquebar, 2021). She was shortlisted for the Lucien Stryk Asian Translation prize for A Handful of Sesame, her translation of a Kannada novel by Shinivas Vaidna. She was shortlisted twice for the Montreal International Poetry Prize and has won the Kuvempu Bhasha Bharati translation prize. She lives in Pune, India. (updated 10/2021)
