Jeff Talarigo, author of* The Pearl Diver* and The Ginseng Hunter, has twice lived in the Gaza Strip and for fifteen years in Japan. In 2006–07 he held a fellowship at the New York Public Library’s Cullman Center. He is at work on his third novel, a novel on Gaza, and lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts. (updated 10/2011)
