Daniel Borzutzky’s latest book, The Murmuring Grief of the Americas, is forthcoming from Coffee House Press in August. His other books include Written after a Massacre in the Year 2018 (Coffee House Press, 2021); Lake Michigan (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2018), a finalist for the Griffin International Poetry Prize; and The Performance of Becoming Human (Brooklyn Arts Press, 2016), which received the 2016 National Book Award. His translation of Paula Ilabaca Nuñez’s The Loose Pearl (co-im-press, 2022) received the 2023 PEN Award for Poetry in Translation and his translation of Galo Ghigliotto’s Valdivia (co-im-press, 2016) received ALTA’s 2017 National Translation Award.
