John Burnside is the author of numerous collections of poetry, a collection of short stories, a memoir, and several novels. He has been the recipient of the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize, the Whitbread Poetry Award, and the Cholmondeley Award, among others. He currently lives in Fife and teaches at the University of St. Andrews. (updated 6/2010)
