Sayan Zhambalov

Sayan Zhambalov is a poet, actor, and musician from the Buryat Republic in Siberia. For the past six years he has collaborated with artists from Yara Arts Group at La MaMa Experimental Theatre in New York on original theatre pieces and translations of traditional texts.

Virlana Tkacz

Virlana Tkacz lives in New York where she is the founding director of the Yara Arts Group, a resident company at the La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club. She has also been translating poetry from the Ukrainian language with poet Wanda Phipps since 1989. (updated 7/2010)

Wanda Phipps

Wanda Phipps is the author of Wake-Up Calls: 66 Morning Poems (Softskull Press, 2004) and numerous chapbooks. Her work has appeared in such journals as Exquisite Corpse, The World, AGNIBrooklyn Review Online, and elsewhere. (updated 7/2010)
