Brian Tierney’s work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Best New Poets 2013, Boston Review, Kenyon Review, AGNI, Hayden’s Ferry Review, New England Review, Ninth Letter, Copper Nickel, and elsewhere. A former Stegner Fellow in poetry at Stanford University, he was named one of Narrative’s “30 Below 30” emerging writers in 2013, has been a finalist for awards from the Poetry Society of America and The National Poetry Series, and won the 2018 George Bogin Memorial Award from The Poetry Society of America. He lives in Oakland, where he teaches poetry at The Writing Salon. (updated 9/2019)
