Karl Ove Knausgaard, a native of Norway, is the author of the six-volume autobiographical novel My Struggle and two previous novels, Out of the World and A Time for Everything. He lives in Sweden with his wife and four children. (updated 4/2015)

Don Bartlett lives in Norfolk, England. He has been a freelance translator of Danish and Norwegian literature since 2000. In addition to Karl Ove Knausgaard’s My Struggle, his work includes I Refuse by Per Petterson, the Harry Hole series by Jo Nesb, Roy Jacobsen’s The Burnt-Out Town of Miracles, and Stian Hole’s children’s books.
