T. R. Hummer is an American poet and critic. Among his many publications, most recent is The Muse in the Machine: Essays on Poetry And the Anatomy of the Body Politic (University of Georgia Press, 2006). He is currently a a writer in residence at the University California at Irvine. (updated 7/2010)
