Nicholas Pierce’s first collection, In Transit (Criterion Books, 2021), received the 2021 New Criterion Poetry Prize. His poems have appeared in 32 Poems, Birmingham Poetry Review, The Hopkins Review, AGNI, Best American Poetry online, and elsewhere. He is a PhD candidate in poetry at the University of Utah.
