Mike Scalise’s essays and articles have appeared in Ninth Letter, Post Road, The Rumpus, Hot Metal Bridge, and elsewhere. He has won scholarships from the Bread Loaf and Southampton Writers’ conferences, and in fall 2009 he was Philip Roth Writer-In-Residence at Bucknell University. He lives in Washington, D.C.
