Mariana Cook was the last student of Ansel Adams. Known for her striking portraits, Cook’s work has been collected in numerous books of photography. Her work is currently on exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Getty Museum, and elsewhere. (updated 6/2010)
