Heo Nanseolheon
Heo Nanseolheon, pen name “White Orchid,” was a sequestered noblewoman who lived in sixteenth-century Korea. Considered by many Korean scholars to be the country’s greatest female poet, she died at twenty-seven. (updated 10/2022)
