Derek Mahon

Derek Mahon (1941-2020) was one of the foremost Irish poets of his generation. During his career, he published more than thirty books of poetry and translation, including The Hunt by Night, Life on Earth, An Autumn Wind, and Washing Up. His honors included the David Cohen Prize for Literature, the Lannan Literary Award, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and multiple Irish Times Poetry Now Awards.
