Chip Rossetti’s translations from Arabic include the novel Beirut, Beirut by Sonallah Ibrahim and the graphic novels Metro: A Story of Cairo by Magdy El Shafee and Utopia by Ahmed Khaled Towfik. His translations have also appeared in Asymptote, The White Review, AGNI, Banipal, and Words Without Borders. He holds a PhD in modern Arabic literature from the University of Pennsylvania and has worked in publishing for over twenty years. He is editorial director of the Library of Arabic Literature book series. (updated 10/2021)
