Castle Freeman, Jr., is the author of seven novels and two collections of stories. His new novel, The Devil in the Valley, comes out this fall from Overlook Press. A feature film based on his 2008 novel Go With Me and starring Anthony Hopkins, Julia Stiles, and Alexander Ludwig, will also be released this fall. He lives in southeastern Vermont. (updated 10/2015)
