Carolivia Herron was an Assistant Professor of Afro-American Studies and Comparative Literature at Harvard and is currently an Associate Professor of English at Mount Holyoke College. Her novel, Thereafter Johnnie, will be published by Random House in November, 1990. Her scholarly work includes African-American Epic Tradition, forthcoming in 1991.
