Rodney Gómez is the author of Arsenal with Praise Song (Orison Books, 2021), which received the Helen C. Smith Memorial Award from the Texas Institute of Letters and the Writers’ League of Texas Book Award. His work has appeared in Poetry, New England Review, The Gettysburg Review, AGNI, Denver Quarterly, Poetry Daily, and elsewhere. A 2023 National Endowment for the Arts Fellow in poetry, he is a member of the Macondo Writers Workshop and serves as advisory editor of FlowerSong Press, where he founded the Bougainvillea Prize. He has received an Academy of American Poets Poet Laureate Fellowship, a Yale Mellon Arts & Practitioner Fellowship, and a De Groot Foundation grant. (updated 4/2024)
