Katherine Cusumano

Katherine Cusumano is the assistant nonfiction editor of AGNI and has been part of the editorial team since 2026. A writer and editor whose work focuses on culture and the natural world, her essays and reporting have appeared in Orion, Longreads, The New York Times Magazine, and other national publications. A recipient of the 2025 Oregon Literary Fellowship, she holds an MFA from Oregon State University and lives, writes, and teaches in Portland. (updated 4/2026)
