
Jessica Q. Stark is poetry editor of AGNI and has been part of the editorial team since 2019. A California native and Vietnamese American, she is the author of Buffalo Girl (BOA Editions, 2023), a finalist for the Maya Angelou Book Award and winner of the Florida Book Award; Savage Pageant (Birds LLC, 2020), chosen as a finalist for the Poetry Society of America’s Norma Farber Prize and named one of the "Best Books of 2020" by The Boston Globe and Hyperallergic; and five chapbooks, most recently THE FLEA, which won first place for the MAYDAY poetry chapbook prize in 2025. Her poems have appeared in The Best American Poetry, The Nation, Pleiades, Gulf Coast, and The Florida Review, among other publications. She is assistant professor of creative writing at the University of North Florida. With assistant poetry editor Dorsey Craft, she organizes the Dreamboat Reading Series in Jacksonville, Florida.
