Hoa Nguyen is the author of six books of poetry, including A Thousand Times You Lose Your Treasure (Wave Books, 2021), a finalist for the Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award, the Governor General’s Award, and the National Book Award; and Violet Energy Ingots (Wave, 2016). A winner of the C. D. Wright Award in Poetry from the Foundation of Contemporary Art, she is a professor at Toronto Metropolitan University. (updated 4/2025)
