Portrait of Elaine Spatz-Rabinowitz

The work of Elaine Spatz-Rabinowitz is held in numerous collections, among them the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Addison Gallery of American Art, and the Rose Art Museum. A past Guggenheim fellow, she has worked as a set designer with Peter Sellars on some of his most notable international productions, and created Sudden Difficulties with him, an installation/performance piece, for Boston’s Institute of Contemporary Art. Spatz-Rabinowitz travelled to the Arctic Circle in 2013 on a tall ship, where she captured over 2,000 images. Her next show, Arctic Abrasions, is scheduled for April 2017 at the Miller/Howard Yezerski Gallery in Boston. (updated 10/2016)
