Adam Szczuciński worked for nine years in the neurology department of the Heliodor Swiecicki Clinical Hospital at the Karol Marcinkowski Medical University in Poznan, Poland, where he also investigated the neuroimmunology of multiple sclerosis. Now he is in private practice. Since 2001 he has been publishing his short fiction, essays, and reviews in the quarterly Zeszyty Literackie, where he recently joined the editorial board. In 2008 he published Italian Miniatures, a collection of short essays and fiction. He lives in his native Poznan. (updated 5/2015)
