Leslie Brody’s books include Red Star Sister, which won a PEN Center USA award; A Motel of the Mind (written with Gary Amdahl); and Irrepressible: The Life and Times of Jessica Mitford. Her new biography of Louise Fitzhugh, the author of Harriet the Spy, will be out in 2020. Born in the Bronx, she lives in Southern California and teaches at the University of Redlands.
