David Kleinbard
David Kleinbard’s poetry and fiction have been published in Literary Imagination, Commonweal, Evergreen Review, and elsewhere. He is the author of The Beginning of Terror: A Psychological Study of Rainer Maria Rilke’s Life and Work (NYU Press, 1993). His essays on D. H. Lawrence, William Faulkner, and Galway Kinnell have appeared in such publications as PMLA, The Psychoanalytic Review, and The Southern Review. He is professor emeritus on the doctoral faculty in comparative literature at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, and of English and comparative literature at Queens College, CUNY.
