Hillel Schwartz
Hillel Schwartz is a cultural critic and historian. His most recent publications are Century’s End: An Orientation Manual for the Year 2000 (Barnes & Noble, 1999) and The Culture of the Copy: Striking Likenesses, Unreasonable Facsimiles (Zone Books, 1998). An NEH Summer Seminar Fellow in 1994 and the recipient of the Hartman Center Travel Grant from Duke University, he currently lives in Encinitas, California. (updated 7/2010)
