Fleda Brown is the author of the memoir Mortality, with Friends (Wayne State University Press, 2021) and ten collections of poetry, most recently Flying Through a Hole in the Storm (Ohio University Press, 2021), winner of the Hollis Summers Prize. Her work has twice appeared in The Best American Poetry and has won numerous prizes, including a Pushcart. She is professor emerita at the University of Delaware and former poet laureate of Delaware from 2001 to 2007. She lives in Traverse City, Michigan, and teaches in the Rainier Writing Workshop.
