Marilyn Abildskov is the author of The Men in My Country (University of Iowa Press, 2013), a memoir set in Japan. Her work has appeared in Southern Humanities Review, The Pinch, The Sun, Hotel Amerika, The Southern Review, Ascent, AGNI, The Normal School, The Gettysburg Review, The Rumpus, and elsewhere. Winner of the Rona Jaffe FoundationWriters’ Award and fellowships from the Corporation of Yaddo and the Djerassi Writing Residency, she lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she teaches in the MFA Program at Saint Mary’s College of California.
