John Naughton

John Naughton, author or editor of six books on contemporary French Poetry and Poetics, is Harrington and Shirley Drake Professor of the Humanities in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Colgate University. He has translated Yves Bonnefoy on many occasions. His translations have been recognized by the Poetry Book Society in London and by the Modern Language Association. He has received the medal of the Collège de France in Paris for “distinguished contributions to the study of French literature.” (updated 4/2012)
