Hope Wabuke, a Ugandan American writer, is the author of the poetry collection The Body Family (Haymarket Books, forthcoming 2022) and the chapbooks her, The Leaving, and Movement No.1: Trains. She writes literary and cultural criticism for NPR, is poetry editor of Ruminate, and is assistant professor at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. (updated 4/2021)
