Garret Keizer is a contributing editor of Harper’s Magazine and the author of seven books, the most recent of which is Privacy (to be published in Picador’s Big Ideas / Small Books series in August 2012). His essays and poems have appeared in Lapham’s Quarterly, AGNI, Mother Jones, Ploughshares, The New Yorker, Best American Essays (2007, 2009, 2012) , and Best American Poetry (2005).
